It's Thorid's 70th birthday, and it naturally must be celebrated at the family's summerhouse. Eva takes on the task of organizing the festivities to ensure Thorid remains calm and happy. However, it proves difficult when Mads refuses to come.

Eva and Jacob have Mikael and his girlfriend over for dinner. During the meal, some uncomfortable topics of conversation arise, and a strange atmosphere spread when Mads unexpectedly drops by. As one secret is revealed, others begin to take shape.

Eva's company is facing financial difficulties, but the problem turns out to be bigger than initially thought when a major breach of trust is revealed. Kristina celebrates her birthday and Mads wants to give her a special gift.

The holidays are approaching and upon Mads’s return from rehab, both Mads and Eva try to take responsibility for their mistakes. Meeting Jacob's new girlfriend prompts Eva to make one last attempt to restore their relationship.
