Breakups occur between Steve and Jane as well as Patrick and Susan. While reconciling in the bathroom with Jane, Steven asks Susan out. And both of their exes find reasons to tag along on their first date.

Susan and Steve have their first solo date. After Jeff explains the mystery of Susan's remote controls he discovers her propensity for buying value packs of batteries.

Jeff gets an interview tip from Patrick that backfires as soon as he enters the room. The death of Jane's aunt, and the confusion about who is accompanying who to the funeral results in all six of them going together.

Susan finds a porn film belonging to Steve, who tells her that he loves her during a moment of awkward silence, sending Jane back to therapy.

Jeff pursues an Israeli woman who doesn't speak a word of English. A miscommunication between the two of them leads Jeff to think he has a date with her the next day, however she thinks he wants to date her interpreter.

Patrick's video collection, including the tape of Susan, is discovered. Before she can ask for Patrick's discretion, he's already shown it to Steve, Jeff and Sally who haven't even noticed that Patrick taped over her.
