Iris

Iris often disagrees with others and constantly challenges consensus, making her increasingly difficult for those around her. She promises her boyfriend Claude she will be "very normal" at a dinner at her brother's house. But after a meeting with an editor about her first book, she has other things on her mind… and arrives at the dinner having completely forgotten her promise.

Seeking inspiration, Iris goes to write alone at her editor Catherine's countryside house. Not quite alone, as Tom, Catherine's husband, is also there. Iris leaves feeling calm, but trouble quickly returns: a child accuses her of theft, a birthday party turns into an olfactory disaster, and Claude drifts further away.

Catherine invites Iris to the 100th anniversary of Théophile Publishing. If she wants her book released properly, Iris must impress the company's director. But with an outrageous dress, outdated hairstyle, and awkward jokes, she overdoes everything. And slipping away unnoticed becomes impossible when she ends up completely naked in the bathroom.

Against all expectations, Iris goes viral after Théophile's anniversary event, catching Manuel's attention. Following her breakup with Claude, she realizes she has feelings for Tom. She finds an excuse to see him again and they come close to kissing, until Tom suddenly collapses. When he recovers, he politely pulls away, but Iris's heart has already awakened.

It's the school Christmas fair, and Iris must handle the children while dealing with the surprise arrival of Tom and Catherine. At the same time, Théophile's management loves her book and wants to meet her immediately. But between Manuel, the king of marketing, and Iris, still hopelessly herself, the meeting quickly turns tense.

Following Claude's advice, Iris asks Catherine to convince Manuel to reconsider publishing her book. Catherine agrees but is rushing to leave for Oslo with Tom to celebrate Christmas. On Christmas Eve, still thinking about Tom, Iris calls Catherine and learns she traveled alone because Tom could not find his passport and stayed behind.
