While looking for food in the mountains, Toru comes around a strange girl wearing a coffin on her back named Chaika, who then hires him to help her recover an artifact.

Toru and Akari work hard to help Chaika meet her goals, but when there is more trouble at hand, will the truth be enough to sway their decision?
