After mustering up the courage to speak to the owner of a red shoe on his morning train, Jeff can't believe how lucky he is to have such a beautiful woman and that he blurted out he's an amputee.

After a guarded secret about men and sex is revealed on a television documentary, Jane and Sally try to find out if this eye-opening fact is also true for Steve. Susan invites her parents to dinner. Patrick and Jeff scour local sex shops.

Susan begins furniture shopping for her and Steve's new flat. The mystery surrounding Sally's bum, Patrick's privates and their strange behavior towards each other unravels.

Patrick rescues Sally from her oafish date, prompting her to make a one-time-offer to do it again immediately. Since both of their apartments are occupied, they go to Susan's place where Patrick fears the arrival of Melty Man.

Jane plans to hit stardom via children's television. Patrick moves forward with his plans to break up with Lynda and delivers the bad news to her answering machine seconds before learning that she would like to have a threesome.

A wedding invitation prompts Steve to cut short his one-year anniversary dinner with Susan. Jane and Sally contemplate being the "Woody"s in the toyshop of life.

After meeting a handsome guy and his friends in the bar, Jane is invited for what she thinks is going to be a romantic dinner for two. Patrick asks Susan to be his wife, just for the night, to win an insane competition with his co-worker. Later, Susan gets a second marriage proposal and it's genuine!

Jeff finds a woman who blurts out ridiculous things when she's attracted to someone too. But when Julia (who happens to be his boss) leads him blindfolded into the conference room, it's Jeff's impetuous actions that threaten his relationship and job.
