The young couple, Vahid and Marjan, had secretly divorced a few months earlier. After Marjan dies in an accident, Vahid is accused of causing it. Later, it comes to light that Marjan had borrowed a large sum of money from the neighbors. Although Vahid insists he was unaware of this, the others remain suspicious and doubt that he could have been completely in the dark about his wife's actions.
