A French Village

In French with English subtitles. The new mayor of Villeneuve has come out supporting drafting young Frenchmen to be sent off to Germany.

In French with English subtitles. While on the run from the authorities, Antoine and his new friend Claude end up hiding out at a barn where they meet another draft dodger. Meanwhile at the school, Lucienne is becoming suspicious of the new singing teacher, Marguerite.

In French with English subtitles. Marie confronts Antoine and the other objectors at their mountain camp, and tries to persuade them to join the Resistance. Back in town, Marchetti is faced with being exposed for the murder of a German soldier after the case is reopened.

In French with English subtitles. Antoine leads his group in combat training for future resistance action, much to the frustration of his fellow companions. Meanwhile, Hortense tries to persuade Heinrich to undergo an experimental operation that could relieve his constant pain.

In French with English subtitles. Marcel and Suzanne head into town to warn a Resistance operative of his imminent danger, at a huge risk to their own safety. Back at Anselme's farm, Antoine reports his capture of two German soldiers, one of whom is wounded, and requests a doctor.

In French with English subtitles. Marcel, battered after repeated interrogation and torture, wakes up in a cell with other men, including Marie's son Raoul. At the camp, Antoine's group, under Claude's direction and insistence, practice theater in order to distract themselves from boredom.

In French with English subtitles. Antoine agrees to help Marie try to free the captive Resistance members with a desperate and daring plan. The major obstacle is convincing Raymond to help them, and only Antoine can accomplish this.

In French with English subtitles. The rescue operation succeeds but at the expense of one of the prisoners, who remains in German custody. Meanwhile at the school, Lucienne's attitude towards Marguerite changes drastically after she discovers Marguerite's secret.

In French with English subtitles. Marcel and Daniel are reunited in a prison cell after Daniel is arrested by the French militia. Back at Daniel's home, Hortense is looking after Gustave and Tequiero when a surprise visitor comes knocking.

In French with English subtitles. The Resistance's complex and risky plan to parade in Villeneuve for the November 11th anniversary is in motion. The entire operation relies on Lucienne and Marguerite to disable the German radio located at the school.

In French with English subtitles. The Villeneuve population faces severe retaliation for the Resistance's parade. The Germans and town leaders are desperate to locate and defeat Antoine's group in order to preserve the occupation's authority - and their own jobs.

In French with English subtitles. Marchetti has Marguerite cornered and knows that she is the key to locate Antoine and his group. Meanwhile, Marcel and Chassagne find themselves as unlikely cellmates, both awaiting execution by a German firing squad.
