In the series pilot, Bret Maverick wins big in a poker game by bluffing the owner of a local silver mine, but the losing mine owner refuses to accept his losses and hires Big Mike Macomb to kill Bret.

"Point Blank" - For the first of many times, Bret gets involved with a cunning damsel who's planning a robbery. With Mike Connors (Mannix).

Con woman Samantha Crawford (DIANE BREWSTER) gets the better of Bret when she beats him at a poker game with a little-known rule.

"Ghost Rider" - A woman who'd been traveling with Bret suddenly disappears - looking into things, he discovers that she'd been reported dead more than a week earlier! With Edd "Kookie" Byrnes.

A dying outlaw confesses to Bret that he committed the crime for which an innocent man is serving a life sentence, but when Bret tries to prove the prisoner's innocence he discovers that someone want him to stay in jail.

"Stage West" - Fleeing a band of angry Native Americans, Bret takes shelter in a way station

Bret is elated when he wins an "Arabian mount" in a card game . . . until he sees that it's not a horse, but a very friendly camel.

"Hostage" - Bret Maverick and brother Bart meet in New Orleans where they plan to ride a riverboat, but end up getting involved in the kidnapping of the shipowner's daughter instead.

"Stampede" - Bret and Dandy Jim Buckley bet heavily on a boxing match - but when their fighter withdraws, it's up to Bret himself to step into the ring! With Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.

"The Jeweled Gun" - Bart agrees to pose as the husband of a woman who's traveling through the badlands - big mistake, because he soon finds himself the target of a killer!

Bart and Bret take go to sea and find themselves in a competition for the salvage rights to a derelict cargo ship. It seems the wreck is extremely valuable, and Bart wants to know why. PATRIC KNOWLES guest stars.

"The Quick And The Dead" - The only person who can clear Bret of a robbery charge has been marked for death by the notorious gunfighter/gambler Doc Holliday. With Marie Windsor.

"The Naked Gallows" - Bart pokes his nose into an unsolved murder case and ends up facing the business end of a killer's gun. With Mike Connors.

Bret finds more excitement than he bargained for in Virginia City when a man eh believes is dead comes back to haunt him. Emmy winner WERNER KLEMPERER ("Hogan's Heroes") guest stars.

When Bart does a good dead for two exhausted travelers he meets in the desert, his horse is stolen and he is framed for a murder.

"A Rage For Vengeance" - Bret is happy to escort a lovely widow to the bank with a large sum of cash

"Rope Of Cards" - Bret becomes the lone holdout for a not guilty verdict in a murder trial. He uses a longshot card trick to convince the other jurors that the defendant might be innocent.

"Diamond in the Rough" - After being beaten up, robbed, and shanghaied, Bart sets out to expose the man responsible - a respected member of San Francisco society.

"Day of Reckoning" - Fearless Bret feels it's about time someone did something about the town bully - so he asks the townspeople to do something.

Bart has trouble telling the good guys from the bad when he and Samantha team up to recover stolen treasury plates.

It should be an easy job when Bret and Bart agree to drive a woman rancher's cattle to market, but they run into complications and must search the open range from the one man who can clear them of a murder charge.

"The Burning Sky" - In the desert, an Indian ambush leaves Bart and other stagecoach passengers to battle their attackers, each other

"The Seventh Hand" - Samantha Crawford arranges for Bret to sit in on a high stakes poker game - but he becomes the fall guy when the game gets robbed! With Bob Steele.

"Plunder Of Paradise" - There's gold in them thar hills, and Bart Maverick and Big Mike McComb are out to get it - but so are four nasty bandits!
