No Second Chance

After surviving a brutal attack, Dr. Alice Lambert wakes up to learn her baby daughter is missing and faces pointed questions from the police.

Richard's involvement in the investigation deepens; at the same time, Alice goes to extremes and causes further tension with the police when attempting to locate her sister, a drug addict who became estranged from her family long ago.

Alice receives new hope of finding her kidnapped daughter two years after the baby was originally taken when she is given a cryptic message. But knowing who to turn to for help is a complicated matter.

The investigation into the disappearance of little Tara continues now that Alice and Richard have evidence the child is still alive. But the police have another theory.

Pursued by the killers and the police, Alice and Richard discover that Tara's disappearance is not an isolated case. Risking their lives, they try to unmask a clandestine network, but Alice begins to lose hope of finding her daughter.

The pieces of the puzzle begin, at last, to fit in the series finale when a downcast Alice, convinced she has no chance of finding her daughter, tries to discover the true reasons for the kidnapping after someone steals her husband's mysterious notebook.
