Midsomer Murders

Simon's father Paul Bright never approved of Laura Sharp and suspects her involvement in Simon's murder. He tells Barnaby that Laura worked as a barmaid at The Airman pub and was going out with Simon. At The Airman pub Barnaby speaks to barman Jim Druce, about Laura.

Retired society photographer Rex Masters disappears as his niece Faith Alexander arrives on a visit from America. Miles King, Rex's gardener, is shocked when he meets Faith as Rex told everyone that Faith and her entire family had died in a plane crash a year ago.

The village of Midsomer Magna is devastated by the closure of glassware factory, "King's Crystal". The closure of the factory comes about after the seemingly accidental death of co-owner Alan King. The factory workers are out of jobs and are left with no financial security and begin to rail against Peter Baxter and Charles King with the injustice of their redundancies.

Barnaby's favourite rock band "Hired Gun" reform to play at the Midsomer Rocks festival. When paranoid lead singer Gary Cooper discovers a disembowelled pig floating in the trout river on his estate, a dead sheep on his tennis court and a skinned rabbit in his garage he suspects that someone is trying to warn them off.

The Midsomer Ramblers are preparing for an expedition to mount Snowdon and with the main suspects and the intended murder victim amongst the group, Barnaby and Jones decide to accompany them. Barnaby intends to use James Kirkwood as bait to lure the murderer. They are joined by Huw and Bryn.

When the Luxton Deeping Photographic Society refuse to accept digital images in their annual exhibition, aspiring local photographer Steve Bright is enraged. Steve and his friends regard the traditional method of photography favoured by photo shop proprietor Headley Madrigal, his son Seb and friends Lionel Bell and Eddie Carfax as old and antiquated.

When violent criminal George Ince and his associate Jed Norris are employed as security guards at Midsomer Manor where a production of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" is being filmed, Barnaby and Jones suspect that they are planning an inside job.

Lord Holm declares his love for Gina. When she rejects him, he grabs her in an embrace and tries to kiss her, until Barnaby and Jones intervene. Despite having no recollection of murdering his wife sixteen years earlier, Lord Holm gives a detailed account of his attack on Gina under questioning.
