Ice Lake Rebels

With the winter freeze only days away, Stephan and Allyce struggle to secure the problematic floats that are tilting their houseboat. Meanwhile, newbies, Iman and Jessica, discover that living in a houseboat during freeze-up can be life threatening.

The rebels must stock up on food for the long winter now that the lake is freshly frozen over. With one failed caribou hunt behind him, Randy attempts another hunting trip with an elder chief by his side in search of the last caribou of the season.

Randy takes his kids hunting and teaches them about the dangers of the lake. Stephan and Bryan go missing on an overnight fishing expedition in -40 temperatures. Stephan's fiancé Allyce raises a major search party to find him.

With temperatures plummeting to below 50, Stephan and Allyce return to their houseboat from a fishing expedition to find they have a frozen house no heat and all their plumbing lines quickly breaking apart.

The winter storms have passed, but food needed to survive the remaining winter days is scarce. Ragnar hunts down a Great Slave Lake Black bear. Stephan and Allyce voyage to the open lake in search of fish. Randy uses his ingenuity to set snares.

With breakup of the lake on the horizon, our Rebels battle "cabin fever" by honing their survival skills at an annual 'lake games' where fire building, axe throwing, toboggan pulling and more are put to the test pitting expertise against ingenuity.

Tensions rise as one of the most deadly times of the year approaches- the thaw. As the ice softens, Brian falls through.

High winds start to break up the ice. Stephan and Allyce use a motorboat to break up large ice sheets into smaller chunks. Gary and Molly batten down the hatches against the high winds but the Molly Barge breaks loose!

Spring finally thaws Great Slave Lake, and the rebels adjust to water now under their homes. Stephan and Allyce finally tie the knot, ice lake style. Molly is left to fend for herself and 3 barges. Pike Mike moves to a remote part of the bay.

Spring is here and now the Rebels are faced with 24 hours of sunlight and going crazy. They black out doors, windows, cracks, anything to get some dark into their lives. Meanwhile Brian finally tries to set his first spring fishing lines.
