Disenchanted

Fanny, a Parisian journalist, is required to write an article about a 25-year-old case: the disappearance of Sarah Leroy. Usually professional, Fanny reluctantly travels to Bouville-sur-mer, as she believes that the person responsible for Sarah's murder is none other than her sister Angélique.

Benjamin finds himself alone with his mother, who is more distraught than ever. He promises her that he will uncover the truth and find the murderer. The policeman throws himself heart and soul into this relentless investigation... which eventually leads him to Fanny.

The return of an old acquaintance to Bouville deeply disturbs Angélique, who reconnects with the Désenchantées. While Fanny tries her best to bury the past, her stepdaughter Lilou continues to dig deeper. With the help of Angélique's son Eder, the young girl traces the thread of the past.

The time for the funeral and revelations has finally come. Little by little, Fanny and Lilou's return to Paris begins to take shape. It is also an opportunity for the two sisters to heal old wounds and finally grow closer, after more than twenty years of distance and silence.
