A bittersweet comedy by director Ondřej Trojan, based on Petr Šabach's novel, follows four teenage boys, their friends, loves, and parents from the moment they receive their ID cards at fifteen to their attempts at eighteen to avoid compulsory military service. Growing up in the 1970s, they struggle to keep their humor, dignity, and independence in a repressive regime.
