Myra, known as "Marigold," is the face of the Blue Marigold advertising campaign. When she appears on TV, her voice is found to be unsuitable and needs to be dubbed by Sophie. On the personal front, her marriage with Paul ends and she spirals into depression and alcoholism, finally suffering a breakdown. On her discharge from the hospital, things take an ironic and unfortunate turn.

Moira eavesdrops in a restaurant and hears a young woman go on about a Paris trip she took with her lover, Donald. Not only is Moira's husband called Donald, but he had also just come back from a trip to Paris. This woman's watch, too, looks like an old gift Moira got from Donald. Is this all a coincidence or should Moira confront this woman?

Following a tiff, she has all her jewels locked up in a safe and this is where she needs Sam's services. She insists on coming along when Sam attempts to break the safe. Parnell "borrows" the priceless French painting, "The Patrician Lady" for his London gallery but is in for a rude shock at its unveiling. Following an explosion, the painting seems to have been switched, and, in a bid to cover this up, Parnell's girlfriend, Bernice forges and makes several copies of the Lady. One wonders though, was the painting really ever stolen?

Radiographer Andy loves Emma, but is losing her to the selfish Max, who decides to take her on a romantic holiday. But the tables turn when Max complains of pains and consults Andy for a diagnosis.
