Deak J. Smalls
Actor, Producer
Deak J. Smalls is an American actor from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, whose passion for acting began in the second grade. From childhood through high school, Deak performed in numerous community theater, church and school productions, developing a lasting love for storytelling and the craft of acting. Deak began his professional acting career in 2013 and went on to study Theater and Film Production at Spartanburg Methodist College. Following his college studies, he continued his training with respected acting instructors including Chris Weatherhead, Michael Givens, Terry Serpico, Gary Dewitt Marshall,and Tom Logan, further developing his skills for work across film, television, and theater. Throughout his career, Deak has appeared in more than twenty plus independent films, including Survivors (2014), Help! (2015), America Street (2015), and Flesher (2018). His theatrical work includes a role in Clarence Felder’s production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth (2019) with the Actor’s Theatre of South Carolina. His body of work reflects his versatility and commitment to exploring complex characters across multiple mediums. A lifelong student of the craft, Deak continues to pursue opportunities in film, television, and theater while deepening his artistry and bringing authenticity, vulnerability, and humanity to every role.
