Actor, Director, Writer
Kit Redstone is a trans writer/director known for creating formally inventive, politically charged work. He co-writes/directs with Arran Shearing. Their first feature, ‘King Baby’, premiered at International Film Festival Rotterdam and screened internationally at New Horizons Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, SXSW Sydney, Cinequest, and London International Fantastic Film Festival, where it won Best First Feature. The film also received the UK Film Award for Best Fantasy and was long-listed for the BIFA Maverick Award before its 2025 theatrical release and 2026 Blu-ray release via Vinegar Syndrome. Kit’s play ‘Passengers’ won the Lustrum Award and is published by Oberon Books. His show ‘Testosterone’ received multiple awards and international touring support from the British Council. His work has been commissioned and performed across Europe and beyond. He is also a TEDx speaker
