Born in France
Known for her roles in Breathless (2024), Berlin and the Jewels of Paris (2023) and Elite (2018), Rachel Lascar is a French actress, director, and producer based in Spain. Multilingual in French, Spanish, English, Catalan and German, she has worked in film, television, and theatre. Her film career includes major projects such as Through My Window (2022), Through My Window: Looking at You (2024) and Through My Window: Across the Sea (2023) the trilogy directed by Marçal Fores and produced by Netflix. She also worked in The Chalk Line (2022) produced by Pokeepsie Films and in The Gunman (2015) alongside Sean Penn. In Miss Dalí (2018), she played Gala Dali under the direction of Ventura Pons. On television, she has been part of some of the most internationally acclaimed series, such as Elite (2018) and Berlin and the Jewels of Paris (2023) for Netflix, Foodie Love (2019) directed by Isabel Coixet (HBO/Arte), Mrs. Davis (2023) directed by Owen Harris (Warner Bros/Peacock), Las Pelotaris (2023) on ViX, and The Ministry of Time (2015) for HBO Max. In 2025, she joins the cast of the second season of Breathless (2024), available on Netflix. In theatre, she stands out as the lead in Collected Stories, which she also produced - nominated for Best Play at the Garnacha of Rioja National Theatre Award, with Rachel nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She also directed The Memory of Water. She received the Oriana Award for Best Actress at the San Andreu De La Barca International Film Festival. Beyond acting, Rachel writes and directs her own films. Her debut short film, Dignidad (2023) - awarded at the Mundo Festival and winner of three awards at the Mumbai International Film Festival, including Best Supporting Actress for Rachel - follows an eight-year-old girl who refuses to be consumed by her parents' failing reality. A film about inner resilience, and about dignity as a silent act of survival. Trained at the Institut of Theatrical Studies in Sorbonne and at the Jean Périmony Drama school, she is also a graduate of the Meisner technique.
